Using a credit card with a long initial APR of 0% is a great way to consolidate debt or save interest on large purchases that you want to pay off over time. The Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card with no annual fee is one of the best balance transfer cards due to its extra-long introductory APR of 0% on balance transfers for 21 months and on purchases for 12 months from account opening (followed by a 13.99% – 23.99% variable APR).

The downside: The Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card doesn’t earn rewards on spending and typically doesn’t offer sign-up bonuses. But now, for a limited time, the card offers a welcome bonus of $150 statement credit after spending $500 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.

Adding a welcome offer makes the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card that much more appealing. You still won’t earn rewards for your daily spending, but if your goal is to get some cash back in your wallet fast, the new bonus is a great deal.

Here’s what you need to know about the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card to help you decide if this offer is right for you.
